OLP is bursting with Eagle PRIDE! This last weekend, our Drama Club, 3rd through 8th graders, performed the musical Dear Edwina Jr. and they blew it out of the park! They were brave, articulate, funny, animated, talented, dedicated, and passionate. Every student from sound and lights to the main character, Edwina, was AMAZING!
Additiontionaly, our 4th through 6th-grade basketball team had a huge victory on Saturday. They did win but the victory was in the manner in which they conducted themselves and included everyone on the team. In a team effort, all players were able to score and that initiative was player-driven.
Here at OLP, we often talk about how we offer opportunities that normally students may not encounter at another school. I believe this weekend was a perfect example. This weekend we had 3rd and 4th graders with singing solos and we had 4th-grade boys scoring and playing in a 6th-grade basketball league. In both events this weekend, our kids looked out for one another and championed the success of their neighbors. I have no words for the way in which our students rose to the occasion. I am so proud and I hope you all are as well.

Gift Cribs Are Out for Needy Mamas and Babies
Once again during Advent, baby cribs will be placed at OLP entrances to collect gifts and necessities for babies and toddlers as part of Tandem Family Resource Center at 41st and Chicago.
A gift registry has been set up at Target where Tandem has identified what items are most needed. Gift cards are also available, which lets the Mamas decide what they most need.
and place your orders. After they are shipped to you, drop them off at the Cribs at OLP.
If you rather send in cash or check to your student's teacher, you may do so (please add a note that states the cash is for Tandem), and OLP will purchase needed items from the registry. Thank you for your support!
Christmas Concert Details
On Thursday, December 19th at 5:45 PM, OLP Preschool through 8th grade will be hosting our annual Christmas Concert in the Church. In the weeks to come there will be more details regarding when and where your student should meet their teacher prior to the show.
This year the show is starting at 5:45 PM in efforts to be early enough for our younger students but not too early for parents who are commuting home from work. Although it is hard to accommodate all families and their needs, this is our effort to ensure that all families can attend.
The run-of-show will be band, ELP, followed by K-8. The show should be 60ish minutes in all. Look for more details to come!
The Our Lady of Peace Athletic Department is hosting a Heggies Pizza Sale.

Our Lady of Guadalupe AND Las Posadas!
All are welcome to join our OLP students and staff for the Our Lady of Guadalupe Mass, on Wednesday, December 11th, at 8:15 a.m. There will be songs in Spanish, dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe, and immediately following the mass, the 7th grade class will be presenting a five-minute play about St. Juan Diego and Our Lady of Guadalupe. Please join us!
Then, on Friday, December 20th, at 8:20, we will have a Las Posadas Fiesta celebration in the gym, with a visit from Maria and Jose, looking for room at the inn, and we will sing our Las Posadas song in Spanish, eat delicious authentic Mexican food (tamales, churros, and more!), and celebrate our faith in a multicultural way.
We are seeking parent volunteers that would be able to help with set up at 7:50 a.m. that day, serve the food, and then clean up, with an estimated ending time of 9 a.m. If you are interested in helping, please contact Mrs. Garcia at
