Please Read: OLP Uniform Update
Good Evening, Eagle Nation-
A big part of our identity as Our Lady of Peace Catholic School lies in the way we present ourselves each day at school and throughout our community. Abiding by a standard uniform policy helps us build a stronger sense of community on campus, and teaches our students the importance of representing our school in a clean and consistent manner.
With that in mind, we have reviewed our current uniform policy, and have incorporated a few changes for the upcoming 2021-22 school year that we hope will strengthen our identity as one OLP community, while also having minimal impact on your wallet. To show our investment in this effort, Our Lady of Peace will be providing a new, embroidered quarter-zip sweatshirt to every student (K-8) which can be worn as part of the uniform next year.
Please review the attached infographic, designed to help ensure your student arrives dressed for their day on the first day of school. The key changes have been outlined below for clarity purposes. Please continue to watch for additional resources to be distributed in the coming weeks. Thank you for your cooperation in supporting this important initiative.

What are the key changes?
Students will no longer be allowed to wear hooded sweatshirts, jackets or other items on top of their school uniform. The only allowed top layer will be the provided OLP-embroidered quarter-zip sweatshirt, or a solid navy cardigan or pullover sweater.
Jumpers vs. Skirts:
Girls in K-3 will have the option to wear a plaid jumper, while only girls in 4-8 will have the option to wear a plaid skirt. (no solid blue skirts or jumpers will be allowed).
In an effort to strengthen our brand, students will no longer be allowed to wear old uniform shirts or sweatshirts with old versions of our logo embroidered on them. Plain white or light blue shirts only.
All students will be required to wear tennis shoes (that can be tied or fastened at all times). No dress shoes, boots or sandals of any kind will be allowed.
All students will be required to wear solid white, navy or black socks.
What is remaining the same?
Students will still be allowed to wear the same navy pants and shorts they have in previous years. Likewise, the same light blue or white collared polos will remain key staples to our uniform policy. The plaid skirts and jumpers themselves will not change, only who is eligible to wear them.
How and when do I get my new OLP quarter-zip?
How to order:
Samples of the new OLP quarter-zip sweatshirts will be available to try on for proper sizing on campus beginning Monday, July 19th. If you would like your student to have the chance to try one on to ensure proper fit, please come to door 1W, Monday - Thursday, 9:00am-12:00pm.
Orders are due Friday, July 30th.
To place your order, click the link below. Please note: Families do have the option to have their last name embroidered on the sleeve, for $7. We highly recommend this additional step, as we anticipate a lot of sweatshirts being left behind after gym class, on the playground, etc. and this will help us find their proper home.
When to receive:
Sweatshirts will be available for pick-up at back-to-school night on Wednesday, 8/25. Additional quarter-zip sweatshirts will also be made available for purchase directly through Educational Outfitters, for anyone interested in purchasing additional quantities.
