Your Weekly 3 from OLP
Good Evening, Eagle Nation!
Here are the THREE things you need to know from the desk of Mr. Berry.
1) OLP To Observe Rare Disease Day Friday, 2/26
Sarah Kasner, parent of first-grader Caleb Kasner, joined us last week on "Podcasting with the Principal" to tell her family's story, and to help raise awareness for Rare Disease Day, this Friday, 2/26.
Why it's Important:
The Kasner family represents just one of many Eagle Nation families that struggle every day with a rare disease. (Caleb, and his younger brother Duncan, suffer from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.) The final day in February is observed worldwide as Rare Disease Day. This date was selected, as every four years, this day falls on February 29th. As a part of this celebration, our first grade students will be invited to go out of uniform and "show their stripes" by wearing stripes, in support of their classmate.

2) Generosity Appeal 2021 off to a strong start
In only it's first week, OLP has raised over $1,200 to benefit
Sharing & Caring Hands
of Minneapolis, as a part of our annual Generosity Appeal.
Why It's Important:
Unlike our various other fundraisers, the annual Lenten Generosity Appeal calls upon our parishioners, our school families, and our greater community to look beyond the walls of our campus and help others in need. As you heard from Fr. Ellis and Mr. Berry last week, this year, we are asking all families to consider donating $19 (or whatever amount you are comfortable with) so that as a community, Our Lady of Peace can help make a difference to those who need it most.
Please consider making your donation
, sending cash or check with your student, or simply Venmo $19 to @olpmn (Please be sure to include "generosity" in the memo field).
3) OLP Flower Sale is in Full Bloom
Dozens of orders have already been placed for this year's flower sale. Don't be left with empty flower pots this spring.
Why it's Important:
With all of the snow finally melting, there's never been a better time to start thinking spring. Plus, with flower delivery guaranteed before Mother's Day, it's an easy way to plan ahead and show Mom how much you care. You'll be saving time, saving money (these kits are priced 30% lower than retail) and supporting Our Lady of Peace in the process.
to view the available arrangements and place your order before Friday, March 26th.
